The Green Juice

I made the green juice from the Alkaline Cleanse Cookbook. Nope, Nada, Nill!! Does to taste good I tried to drink it down that was not happening. Should have dropped some fruit on it!! Maybe better luck tomorrow.

Lime & Coconut Chickpea Curry

Honesty healthyfoods.com is were I got this recipe from it's by the author of the cookbook Alkaline Cleanse. Pretty good, just didn't have time to soak the chickpeas overnight had to do a rush job on them, boiling them and letting them soak in hot water for 1 hour. Added some cooking time to the recipe but other than that it was good.

Dinner time!! Tried this dish for dinner and it really did fill me up. Another good dish from the cookbook Alkaline Cleanse!

My First Cookbook!!

I have decied to get some reading help when it comes to being a healthy vegetarian and making smart choices. After going through several cookbooks at the book store, because you have to find the one that will best fits your life style. I have decided to try: Alkaline Cleanse by Natasha Corrett. It looks like quick, tasty and easy to follow recepies but we shall see!! Grocery store run and prep day starts tomorrow. Let's see if I can cook my way through her cook book and try these dishes and not break the bank.

New Direction

In November 2015 I was diagnosed with several health issues that have prevented me from eating certian types of food(fried foods, full fat dairy, high fat meat). I set out to lose some weight starting weight 289lbs. I started working out and watching what I ate and I started to lose weight. January 2016 on a dare from a friend she asked me to go 30 days without eating meat, I said sure why not! Around week 2 she broke bad and started back eating meat, but I suck with it and lasted 30 days without eating meat. So, in February 2016 and about 30 lbs lighter, the first day I put meat back into my diet I got so sick nausea and diarrhea but it passed. A week with meat back in my diet I felt so tired and slow, so I decided to become a vegetarian full time No Meat!!! I have learned that you have to do your research in order to do this correctly because if you don't be a vegetarian the right way you can fill your diet up with alot of empty calories.
